Set The Alarm

from Unwritten Letters by Jason Ingalls

lyrics

is this the day that you spoke with me, like yesterday, set the alarm and wait patiently, don't fall asleep, i fell downstairs punching the walls and crying out incessantly, i didn't call and lost you, and it won't be long til i have everything left to lose and nothing else to abuse, but if i didn't do all the thinking i can't wonder why i'm wrong, i faced my fear of falling down, by sleeping through my own demise, we used to run hand in hand but now we're walking to the end, chasing you down i'm lost on highways, how wrong can this picture be, wondering what love could have been when you walked away from me, you say that it's just a bunch of lost and found, comet's tail an afterthought, love lies bleeding in a vase of white, thought you would enjoy the sight, and it won't be long til i have everything left to lose and nothing left to abuse, but if i didn't do all the thinking, i can't wonder why i'm wrong
